I know what your gonna say Ron because Greg told me to tell em not the sand blast it because that's normally the cause isn't mate ?

yes , did you take the top baffle out of the cam cover when you got it back and cleaned all the sand out of it, if not, thats whats killed your engine, i had one of mine sandblasted, spent 2 hours cleaning it and it was mine, 2 days later i looked at it and there was sand in the metal and when you rubed it it all fell out ,

Was thinking about this the other day whether to powdercoat or just have them painted on mine.

Will defo be just painted now.

Bigron - no I told them not to sand blast it mate and it didn't have that baffle on it neither I also checked it when I got it back and it looked fine

Cheers Mark I hope so mate pain in the arse having no car was just starting to really enjoy it aswell apart from the oil leaks am sure you will soon find out unless you do all them gaskets you said you was gonna do pal

Well the cars fixed and right for Billings now am so happy I was gutted when HE broke !!

So tonights plan clean the car up ready for tomorrow and i want to say thanks again to Beardy and the the lads at BNS auto

It was dirt in the pump that blocked the oil pump relief valve

***UPDATE 15/7/12***

Well because Billings was cancelled it would be rude not to show the efforts of how clean the car was

So... i taken then the car to Hollingworth lake in Rochdale to get some pictures of the car and that

So heres how i got on ..



























































Ive got some plans and some new ideas what i want to do to the car

Yeah beardy picked it up in the week Dan and sorted it for me it got blocked with dirt and cheers im

not 100% happy with it yet but its getting there

Well living with the XE isn't all as cracked up to be as it seems !!

Well the cars playing up abit just teething problems again ! The right hand hose to the heater matrix has split so off to the scarp yard tommorow to get a pipe matched up and repair that.

Also got a number of oil leaks From

Dizzy
Sump
Oil pump + crank seal
And dipstick pipe needs changing to the original one

Also the need a decent exhaust from the manifold through cause it scrapes like mad and blows like mad

On a good note my Trax tickets have arrived thanks willay

Small update of the repair soon
