Cheers mate

Trying to track down a replacement fuel hose at the minute, hoping it is still available from Vauxhall otherwise I can only put a maximum of £20 in the tank or it leaks out

Fingers crossed I can pick on this week but until then car is waiting for a replacement.

You sure it's the hose, and not cracked between fuel cap and the tank?

I had that issue with mine, replacement part was near on £100 iirc, and very dirty job

Yeah, both ends of the hose are perished and cracked when I filled the tank it leaked from the cracks.

There may well be other issues but this is definitely one of them.

Tank looks pretty new (no rust on it) so hopefully should be fine now I have replaced the hose, could see when it came off the ends where all cracked.

Got around to fitting my aerial seal last night after buying it about a year ago

Carried on doing a few bits tonight, pulled off the gutter trims and cleaned up underneath, should have done it a long time ago but always thought they would snap, risked it tonight and they where fine.

The speedlines are nice but I prefer the original wheels. Some guy had a set of GSI wheels on eBay a few weeks back, wanted 450 for a full set lol

much prefer the speed lines, should have been the original wheels on GSi's - these remind me of those teddy bear ones.

450, worth about £100! Didn't you buy a set Ant?

Same as me Jason, 14s are okay but the Speedlines are staying, now just looking cleaner and shiny Will be refitted tomorrow

Various odd and ends done today, not many after pics as it is all kind of still in progress...

Wanted to restore all the plastic bits so bought some GTechniq C4, seems very expensive for a tiny bottle but works wonders and is pretty permanent.

Before

50/50

No afters but it looks great, will refit tomorrow when I have cleaned up all around the windscreen.

Moved on to the seats

A few years ago I bought a spare set of seats, pulled them out the loft last night and set about making up a decent drivers seat.

Seat removed

"New" Base

Took the opportunity to wet vac the seat while it is out.

50/50

Seats didn't come with subframes so had to swap that over.

No finished pictures of the seat yet as I haven't refitted it but it looks great! Very happy how it has turned out.

Passenger seat wet vac'd

Did a few touch ups on the front bumper so random front end shot

The C4 is great mate, trim looks brilliant.

I did the scuttle, door handles, boot handle, mirror trim and splitter.

Made up with the seats, it looks so much better. Feels comfier too as my original base was pretty worn

All back together now

Seats in, feel much nicer to sit on noe.

Trim back on. Best pic I could get today, far to bright today!

Sitting in the sun after all the work including wheels waxed and a couple of coats of Collinite
