I don't though
I love the look of it, but i'm having second thoughts now. I just can't be arsed with all the hassle it brings. Everyone at work has asked me whats happened to the bonnet and why, then some chav threatened to sue me because she got a stain on her top when she was touching it

Jimmy keep it going you are doing really well with it Bonnet looks ace
You could laquer the bonent to stop it rusting but that goes against the idea of rusting it in the first place really. I have been told you can but wax on it and gently heat it up so that it seals the paint without giving a shiny 'finished' surface. Not tried it though but sounds like it could work?
What things you got in mind for the roof rack?

i meant when it had rusted enough you could laquer it and then you could wash wax and polish it like normal couldnt you?
i mean when its rusted too a certain point it will continue to rust but still look exactly the same so why not laquer it
if ya see what i mean lol

Yeah, that's the problem with the 'rat' look. If you don't know about it, you just think look at that piece of tat.
Why was a chav touching it anyways?

you should tag your bonnet saying "dont touch what you cant afford" that will sort the chavs out

I did tell her to GTF
I went for a trip to MFN tonight, and think i got a pretty good reception with the bonnet. Gonna leave it on for Modified Nationals at end of May and see what people think there. Never had so many people touch my bonnet before though I just need a sticker that says 100% Genuine Rust haha!

Please, please, please dont put that bloody roof rack back on- imo it ruins all the lines on the car - it just doesnt look right to me.
PS- I love the way it looks now without the rack- looks so much better. How about spraying the inner wheels orange or black- Im not sure the red works very well with the bonnet.

Never mind, at probably the same time i had Lexus lights on my cally a soon as they were available.
Car looks immense! Just tell chavs to stop touching the bonnet. Just use the rack for shows, If it is hassle.
