Had a look round this at PVS and was telling my mate about the crash just before the show and he thought it was great that you still came to the show, even though it had the damage it was still awesome, the dash looked amazing.
Must be gutting having to strip the parts off it, hope its not long before you get a new shell

Shame to see it like that.
Remember seeing it in the carpark at Ultimate Dubs in 2010 and thinking it was nice back then.
Must be gutting for you, know how i felt finding out my 1st GSI was rotten with 8 months MOT left on it

Cheers Raz haha, a lot of people have said that, and also a lot of people loved the dash.
Cheers Chris, hopefully won't be long
Haha, rolling on Dan's cav expression alloys there, was a lush show too. It is gutting, just annoying knowing that i've gotta do all this cos someone wasn't paying attention. Ah, shit happens though.
i'm glad you like/liked it pow, you did have a good look round

You lot are probably thinking 'Make your bloody mind up!'
But long story short, been weighing up options with my old man, gave up with the idea of trying to get a run around because of the cost and hassle of it. Figured we'd try get hold of some panels and repair it cos it'd work out cheaper. Although it was £200 for a genuine panel from my local vaux dealer, £90 for a pattern part. BUT, it just so happened that the place my dad used to work at had a rio verde 5 door gls in that they were gonna scrap. Luckily they said we could have what we wanted off it for free. Result!
Been working on it on and off this week after work etc to get it how it is. Have to admit though, would never have even started it if it wasn't for my dad.
Kizza, surprisingly it all lines up pretty well actually, after beating out the inner panels and things. Only needed a little bit of pulling about to make it fit nicely. But then i spose you could put that down to the experience of my old man.

Cheers everyone, credit to my dad for the repairs tbh, it is an amazing transformation.
Can't wait for it to be back on the road. Also been looking at engine conversions, majorly tempted by the small block 1.8 but don't know

In a weekend? For free Alex?
But yeah, seems a pretty easy enough conversion? Keeping an eye on Chris's one that you two are doing. If i do end up doing it and get stuck somewhere it'd be nice to know i have someone willing to give advice

Yeah, think my dads gonna paint it, although he's going away for a week tomorrow. So i guess it'll be a while before it gets done. Need to get some bumpers and trim sprayed up too though
