Thought sikaflex or simelar would be better.
That stuff looks a bit 'grainy'

you can't see it once it's fitted to the car so wasn't worried about how it looks.
it comes out smooth, it just looks like that because i used my finger to make sure there were no gaps.

Looks great Ben.
I had to use a similar amount of silicon on my foglights to stop them misting up
You got Xenons?

AFAIK Roof & Gutter sealer never sets fully...
It never did in an attempt to stiffen engine mounts once anyway. It was shit. Ended up having to redo it with proper silicone.

i'll get pictures later. a bird decided to dump it's guts all over the front end so i need to scrub that off first.
i do want facelift rear lights, but it means i'll need to get a facelift rear bumper sprayed in sterling grey, as well as a bit of re-wiring (of which i'm a complete novice at) which becomes costly.

will get better ones later. they both misted up a bit whilst washing the car, so going to take them back off and get a better sealant, but they do make a huge difference.

OEM is straight fit obv, but stupidly expensive and not as good as aftermarket kits are.
Decent Morimoto or FXR projectors will be far better than the Bosch units in the stock headlamps. Decent bulbs and some reliable ballasts (Speak to MJ off here)
Less than £200 and a weekend fitting then you have xenons.
check out the retrofit source and HID planet

oh right. you can get standard xenons in the headlamps, but they are ridiculously expensive. i liked the look of the HID's in my puma, but i wouldn't spend £££'s just to have them.

had the car serviced today at Power Developments (used to be known as Power Italia) in basildon, essex.
a lot of money for a couple of hours replacing bits but still much cheaper than dealer prices.
good customer service also.
few things they picked up which need sorting:
- Alternator drive belt needs replacing as it's perished.
- Offside front roll bar link is worn.
- N/S rear wheel has a bolt snapped in the hub (my fault).
- 1 of the Backbox hangers has snapped.
will get that lot sorted soon.
next oil service is in 15550 miles which will be about 2 years.
