In a way you almost need to win nothing (standard) and not get in the top 4. Just to see if it prompts some kind of reaction from them.

Yep. I still do think Arsene is the right man for the job at hand (managing the first team) but he NEEDS a David Dein behind him making him sign the Sol Campbell's and the Sylvain Wiltord's and the Jose Reyes' instead of sitting on the cash.
AW is far far far too stubborn, there was an excellent article in the FT at the weekend proposing that footballs best known economist might have got his economics wrong
All that being said, the first team is better than being 19 points behind Utd, much much better, but they need consistency and purpose which they seem to lack this season!

I still would love to see David Villa come in but he won't be the game changer we need. This SUmmer will be huge for Arsenal bcause a lot of the tat I mentioned goes out of contract and will leave and hopefully with a few sales, we have space for some big big new arrivals but he will say that we need 3rd place to be able to lure them on the guarantee of havign CL money and that isnt going to happen IMO - 4th is what we are aiming for but he has said before that the qualifiers impact his ability to get plyers in early :/

I've said this all season. Not getting top 4 may be a blessing.

Also, the last thing i'd want is Usmanov coming in and doing a City/Chavski. He would probs be alot better than the wankers we have now, but as long as he didn't just throw cash about.

Agreed! He says he wouldnt do that but depends whether he exerts the influence over the manager as Roman does. DOnt forget that with Usmanov comes David Dein though, who could probably get Arsene to spend the cash we have

Although to be fair, Arsenal did sell RvP to a team challenging for trophies. So not really a rival, like say Everton or Stoke.

There's no way they will sell Suarez, without him i'd dread to think how far down the table you'd be. As much of a cunt he is you can't argue that he is an excellent player. Has he even missed a game this season lol?

At least Gerrard would have the chance to win an English league if they were relegated

Not sure why i said dread, would love to see it Seriously though, without Suarez and Gerrard they are even worse than average. I think Sturridge is a good buy but that's it!

So what you are saying is that LFC would reject QPR's bid?
