Only caught the last 5 mins of Q3, great result. Really glad Ricciardo did well...but at the same time that must mean RBR have a decent car lol. Looking forward to seeing the highlights later.
Downforce wise, its probably best. An under powered engine was probably just what you needed in those conditions too.
True, mad seeing cars so twitchy on turn 10/11. It's that high downforce that has got them the World Championship for the last few years so perhaps they'll be hoping for a wet race every race haha.
Massa was sideways on the straight Drivers earning their corn today.

Got a feeling we might see Ricciardo launch past Lewis on the start, if they are lacking a bit of torque it might help cut wheelspin.

Well as expected my beers kept me in bed longer than I wanted
Just caught up now, epic finish - a small part of me wanted Ricciardo to complete the fairytale and get pole - but Lewis will do
Love the new sounds, you can hear so much more - crowd reaction, tyre squeel, gravelrash, etc.
RBR looking better than expected, but as JJ said I imagine they're underpowered so look "over-good" in the wet.

The crowd roar as Dan came round the final bend was superb, even more so when he crossed the line. Also when Seb failed to get into Q3 you could hear the Aussie crowd cheering, i bet a certain ex team mate had a sly grin on his face

Ooops, Kevin Magnussen under investigation by stewards for 'alleged failure to slow for yellow flags' during Q2 #AustralianGP #skyf1
Jennie Gow ‏@JennieGow 6m
ALO under investigation for impeding GUT and VET under investigation for failure to slow under yellow flags. #F1
Andrew Benson ‏@andrewbensonf1 3m
Re stewards investigation, Red Bull say Vettel will be cleared - evidence shows he did lift. But no official FIA word yet

Really? Magnussen was well over a second away from Rosberg, 4th at absolute best. His Q2 time on a track miles dryer wouldnt even have beaten Lewis' time on a soaked track.
EDIT: Andrew Benson ‏@andrewbensonf1 1m
Vettel has been officially cleared now. No further action, as Red Bull predicted
Shame

Good quail that. Good to see the drivers having to really drive the cars this year.
Didn't surprise me that RB were up there in the wet as the signs have been that the downforce once again is epic and its on the straights they have been loosing all their speed to everyone else - when its wet that loss is great reduced and downforce plays an even bigger part

Great quali, ricciardo is an immense driver.
Obviously the lesser powered car will look better in those conditions, but fuck me, they looked fantastic basically drifting around bends and fighting the back end down the straights.
Loved the crowd cheering when vettel failed to get into q3.

Stop reading the sun.
Made me laugh seeing it in there yesterday. I then read exactly what he said and it was in a completely different context.

Indeed. The everything happens for a reason part was part of a totally different conversion. He'd stopped talking about Michael and was talking about the things that have happened in his career to lead him to driving for Merc in this season.
Typical British cunting media if they've made it out otherwise though. When will they actually get behind one of our guys instead of trying to turn people on them? Cunts cunts cunts.
Yet if he wins the title this season I'll bet they'll happily bask in British glory.

You didn't read the daily mail, you read the headline-had you actually taken the time to read the artical, you'd see the context of the statement.

That Daniel Ricciardo seems like a decent bloke and obviously a talented driver. Should be a good race this but they are still reckoning the bad weather is due so it could be any bodies race.
