We also declined a fair few garden options due to their stupid costs - our shed was a standard inclusion item though so that saved us having to buy one.

That looks splendid mate. What size is it? Looks decent for keeping bins/bikes/random stuff in. I'd definitely paint it though.

10x6 with doors on the long side obviously.

I've done a coat of wood stain on it. I'm really not sure about painting it. What sort of colour would you mean exactly?

it's the problem when you look round the show homes. Don't actually realise how much of it is extras.

Lovely. Got some red doors to go on 4x of the cube holes. It was too big to have 3 complete units so modified the middle one to mount into the 2 outside ones and left the tops of. Custom shit.

yes but they usually cost a fuck load more. Ikea is good for the moving in stuff, but after a few years it ends up falling apart if you do so much as try and move it 1 millimetre.

Having been to a second hand furniture shop this week good quality furniture is bloody expensive. As Benjamin says, IKEA stuff is good for when you first move in. It will do if thats what he likes too.

My dad built it all mate. He's an engineer who's done plenty of kitchens, bathrooms, driveways and turned his own house into a 5 bed thing worth over 600k, for which he originally paid 75k for, so I'd say he's qualified to put up ikea stuff.

Buy one of their wardrobes and try and move it on carpet. It will fall apart at the points where it's connected with those wood cylinder things.

As I said, fine if you plan on never moving it, but if you intend on doing any floor work on your house in future, you will regret buying their stuff.

Kind of embarrassing is it not that you couldn't build it yourself? Must feel inadequate?
