agree with the others the rack helps to define the style you are going for and not just you have changed your bonnet but couldnt afford to get it sprayed.
Car looks great though Jimmy!

one suggestion, plain pressed plates, the blue adds to much colour to the front and rear, plain front plain rear would be perfect

Yeah that could be a good idea, would actually save me all the questions of why it has a 'D' band rather than GB.

agreed with a few others, the red wheels dont really go well with the bonnet, can you not rust the wheels up like the bonnet?

Update 15/5/08: Its falling to bits around me!
No not the bodywork, just the chassis! During my dinner break i dropped the van off to get some new brake shoes fitted to the rear brakes. I go collect the van to which i'm greeted by the mechanic who says; "we've done that for you, BUT, we found that there's a crack in the radius arm". I ask if its possible to weld it, to which i'm told that your not allowed to weld it. Great! He says i'll need a whole new rear beam axle. Fucking great!
I manage to source a beam axle for free (cheers Jacko!), so on the way to picking it up i notice that i'm pressing the brake peddle further and further till it bottoms out on the floor! I pull over immediately and have a look. I find that the flexi brake hose on drivers side has been rubbing on the outer CV boot, which has split the boot (just replaced it on Tuesday!), and worn the hose down near enough ready for it to burst! Twat! While checking it all out i also notice that the inner CV boot on passenger side has also split!
So in the morning i'm going to replace all the inner and outer CV boots and replace the brake hoses, and try pick up that rear beam axle.
While the axle's out i'm going to wack in some Poly bushes which i've ordered and should arrive next week. Sorry for the essay and rant!

Got the CV boots all done and the brake hoses changed and bled up! Going to pick up the axle tomorrow, then give it a clean and paint while my poly bushes turn up.

jimmy may be worth ordering some rear flexys whilst the axle is out, and give the brake pipe unions a quick wire brush and oil so you stand a better chance of getting them off in one piece!

the axle on my runabout corsa had the same issue and ive seen the same on another one at work. so must be fairly common.
thought i had bent the stub axle to start with as it was showing some serious negative camber. But the crack was that bad the trail arm was twisting and bending like a good'un.

Update 19/5/08
Managed to pick my new axle up on Saturday. Apart from surface rust its in great condition!
My Poly bushes arrived this morning, so me and my mate Jack set about dismantling and prepping the new axle.
My mate Jack.....
The new axle....
The Poly bushes.....
Then we set about taking off the hubs and brakes that came with the new axle....
And also took out the original bushes....
Gave it a good blast with a wire brush and painted it with this....
And the final result with the new bushes fitted....
