Honestly Warren, try AP Coilovers, ask anyone thats been in the Polo how good they are.
Not crashy, not going to rust within a week or seize up and only £365 quid.
They are good, tempted to put some on my van.

block has been honed + decked
crank polished
was slightly 'sloped' as standard, so after me and lee worked out we needed 0.1mm deck the block, ended having to do it more!
cleaned all of block, cleaned oil galeriers,
crank fitted with new shells
then checked to make sure pistons didnt protuded the block! at both 1 + 4 0.25mm clearance - so all okay
now just need to get the piston cuts outs done, pistons balanced along with x16xe rods

How much did the bolts set you back Warren?
Seen as my engine is gonna come out tomorrow, figured i might as well fiddle before chuck it in my new shell.

shouldnt fit arp boltsto 1.8 rods, due to the design of the rods they only hold on a few threads. hence why i also changed rods
