I assume that the person who is judging the photos does not get the chance to enter as it could be slightly biased
Either way I have had a crack at one. Not that happy with it but wanted to try it for a while now.

Not really sure if I like it but here it is:
I wanted to try and get it while it was lighting so you could kind of see the ignition process but it wasn't happening so I settled for this.

Right well this is my first time doing this so bear with me here....
Well I think that (in my mind) there is an obvious winner this week....

I like the way that the light goes out of the frame and it is a technically very good shot. Maybe having the can straight would be a touch better?
Neo - You were a very close second. I liked your light bulb and electric thingy shots! Well composed and well executed.
Daveskater - The gas hob shot is a little bit soft imo. Nice colours though. I am sorry but the power light shot does nothing for me.
nema - I am not too sure what effect you were going for but I like the old style.
