On the right hand side by where it plays the video, there should be a split button. You stop it at the beginning of where you want to split and press that button. Go to the end of the bit you want deleted and split it again, then delete that part. Don't forget to fade in and fade out now or it'll jump

Had to send mine back also , at first it worked fine then the sound went the second time i used it , then the camera went really dark 3rd time around ..... Away back to china it goes and awaiting a replacement...
