Poldi by no means had a shit euros tbf, got his 100th cap and grabbed a goal from his less preferred LW position
Hopefully he'll be main man now rather than him and Giroud, unless we sign yet another striker :/
Check out the Metro article from when he signed his current contract in 2008 for extra lols
Poldi?! Get a grip.
Hes known as Poldi :/ (Prince Poldi by Cologne fans)

Quite! Thats the impact of the media and their obsession with driving out our players for you i guess. plus lets be honest, bale is isnt that good anyway :/

RVP wants the club to spend some money, the club dont want to. simple as that, who wants to be the best player in a team, without having to work for it

I don't get the whole Usmanov thing, he obviously wants to fund the team, why aren't they letting him?

Usmanov has good intentions. But the board won't let him get involved. Too fucking right he should turn the screw.
He's richer than Abramovich. Fucking let him spank some cash.

The board won't let him. Thank got he held onto his shares and did not sell out to Kroenke.
Quite annoying that its a stalemate. Kroenke with the major stake so Usmanov struggles to make any major impact.
I don't want us to spend 100s'm like Chelsea/ ManC.
You keep RVP, sign another couple world stars. Get a good season under your belt (maybe not win but really challenge unlike this year) then you will be in a good position to get more world class players.

Usmanov appears to be quite different to the Abramovic's of the world. He actually has the clubs best intentions at heart instead of a personal play thing.

Agreed. I don't want silly money spending but AW to have enough so he can bid £4-5m more to actually get a player rather than losing out.

there are no such areas really. our defenders are perfectly adequate, the problem is they are not a cohesive and strong enough unit... vermaelen is too cavalier and they arent getting protected well enough by Song, whos forays forward are affecting his holding game. We hold a well documented interest in M'Vila as well as other potentuial true defensive midfielders (Biglia also) who hopefully could be the missing key to knit the unit together. personally id liked to ahve seen vertonghen come in too but realistically we cant have Vermaelen, Koscienly, Mertesacker AND Vertonghen, irresepctive of whether we flog Djourou

Wrt Usmanov, I think you guys are straying heavily on the naive side... its all too easy to make yourself look like the good guy from <30% stake and no true invovlement.
The reality is that he wants to turn us into the next City/Chelsea/Malaga/PSG and nobody really wants that. An injection of some cash would be great but the club woudlnt spend it, they are too concerned about FFP. They are genuinely betting on it beign a game changer and giving us a huge lift over other clubs... naive IMO
for what its worth, ive never been a huge fan of Gazidis and Kroenke. We should have never let David Dein go BUT be aware that hes the cunt causign all the problems... HE is Usmanov really and his SOn has manufactured every big name player out fo the club since DD left
Until Wenger leaves, the club strategy will never change, like it or not. Id rather Wenger + whoever it may be than Usmanov.

I seem to remember discussing the fact that ADSB's wandering from his holding role isn't exciting, it's dangerous but you all loved it.
