where are 90% of the worlds top players this Summer...
he also pulled out of commentating a game last week to meet an agent (confirmed by TF1), which was then confirmed to be sanchez's agent.
Suspect it all hinges on Suarez or maybe now Rodriguez, Barca won't let him go without someone coming in and doesn't seem too keen to leave, but then neither was Ozil - once you know the manager doesn't want you, it can all change. fingerscrossed.gif

seems we've switched RB attentions to Debuchy... not convinced myself at almost 29 and having never played at the top level but certainly looked good for Lille previously. Just need to watch the fee given age and the fact PSG/ASM are supposedly sniffing around.
If we get him, I guess its means Jenks or Bellerin is long term RB plan. Wouldnt be surprised to see one (most likely) Jenks go the opposite way to Newc if a deal is reached.
Poor poor Serge Aurier, he will be </3 :'(

His agent has said he would prefer to stay at Barca but if not then Arsenal are his choice. Still think we'll get raped on a bidding war.
But hey ho.
I'll trust AW as always.

I would imagine we would ask for Sanchez to be included in the Suarez deal if it happens.

Arsenal are a far better prospect than Liverpool though, even accounting for lack of recent success and Liverpool's failed assault at the Title last season.

Regardless, I would imagine the Suarez deal would hinge on Sanchez coming to us

Meanwhile Graham Hunter, a Spanish football correspondent with close ties to Barcelona, wrote for ESPN that “Suarez wants to join FC Barcelona. Anyone denying this by now is in self-denial.”
He also told Radio 5Live that current Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has been told that they would like for him to join Liverpool as part of the Suarez deal – despite Sanchez preferring to remain at Camp Nou.
Graham Hunter on 5 live Sport: "Alexis Sanchez will be gently told 'find the right place to go, we'd like it to be Anfield'" #suarezsale

I don't believe swap deals, they never happen. Only once recently with Ibra and Eto. Always touted but never materialise

quite agree. we tried to do it a bunch of times when flogging our players and it almost never works.
The player being swapped from the 'buying club' finds out he's not wanted and will go where HE wants to. Barca won't GAF where he goes so long as they get the money for him and they'll likely get more by selling him separately. Might make a deal slightly easier but as RM found out, you just keep adding a few £m until the selling club shut up and just sell.

£25m is an absurd price for a barely above average 26 year old midfielder. Typical English tax. He may well excel at Liverpool but big gamble unless Liverpool are planning on spending extra Suarez funds (stadium to pay for too)
