Probably saving it for the second half, although from what I remember in the book the action was pretty spread out, the second half gets a lot more violent, obviously

Isn't this a remake of the origional? Sure it was just called enigma or something?
If so is it anything compared to the origional?

Lone Survivor - 8/10
I have put off watching this as I was expecting another OTT American war film where one man defeats the enemy. Glad I watched it now. It was very realistic and you felt every knock and bruise they got trying to escape the taliban. Still amazes me how these guys can make trained soldiers look so out of their depth. Nice to see Hollywood is starting to make accurate films too.

This. I suppose it was always going to be like that seeing as its split in two, but i just left feeling like I'd just paid full price for half a film. Hopefully part 2 will make up for it

Did the soldiers really jump off the cliffs?
Yes. According to the Lone Survivor true story, Marcus Luttrell and his three fellow comrades of SEAL Team 10 were left with no choice but to jump off the cliffs, making leaps of 20 to 30 feet in order to evade the pursuing Taliban fighters, as shown in the movie. -Navy.mil

Room 237 - 6/10
Kind of interesting. Documentary about all the hidden meanings in The Shining and what they mean. Not endorsed by anyone associated with Kubrick and as it was made in 2012 it is all assumptions. I think they might have been trying to look for things that weren't there in some cases and in others they have gone in to what was there in far too much detail.

Its not a remake. The Imitation Game is based on true life, with actual real people, as opposed to Enigma which was loosely based on what happened with made up people. The Imitation Game is a better film.

The Imitation Game - 9.9/10 - The script is pretty damn good although it does feel a little dramatised in places, to be expected i guess, and the casting is absolutely spot on; Cumberbatch plays Turing brilliantly. Amazing film, 100% well worth seeing!
Lucy - 4/10 - Storyline is piss poor and the only saving grace, barely, is Johansson.
Let's Be Cops - 2/10 - Mindless drivel with a handful of laughs; only see if you've got absolutely nothing, and i mean nothing, to do for 104mins.

I would have scored Lucy a bit higher than that. I think I watched it after hearing bad reviews on here and it helped.

The film couldn't decide if it was a comedy or a serious film.

Long Survivor - 8/10
Initially thought "this is going to a be a typical yank war film"... which it was but it was much better than I thought it was going to be
Guess it helps that it's a based on a true story, making you feel for the characters. Good film

Hunger Games 3 - 5/10
Enjoyed the first two. Knew the 3rd one would be different without the games, and think it was ok but it's like The Matrix 2, its neither here or there.
