They are the ones Beach Body recommend on their website...

TBH, they cant be any bigger than the ones Im using at the moment, to get the weight I need on them the 5kg weight is fairly huge.

it's so weird, I watch youtube vids looking at different people's results from p90x and the results vary greatly...

It's possible that some didn't push as hard, or eat enough protein or just didn't 'bring it enough' - but so weird, some people literally just lose a bit of fat, and some get ripped / gain lots of muscle.

They all end up looking better, granted - and they all seem pleased with results. But just makes me wonder why some are massive transformations and some you can barely tell the difference

I personally think its down to what they put in to the workouts.

Some wont really push themselves, wont get the correct form, wont use heavy enough weights, do the right number of reps, etc.

Others may get the workouts done perfectly but will mess about on the diets, either not taking in what they should, when they should.

And some wont do either correctly, and it'll basically be a healthy diet with some working out that will still show some results.

Whats everyone doing post workout as a recovery drink?

At the moment Im having a protein shake and something like a banana, so getting something like 20g Protein and 30g Carbs.

Im thinking this is fairly poor tbh.

Recovery drink i have always and still use CNP Pro Recover.

2 scoops with water = 23.58g protein and 48.45g carbs.

I have my 2 scoops of whey protein post workout, but shortly after (within the hour) my dinner too (so generally a lot of protein from that).

can anyone tell me why yoga and plyrometrics are included in a workout, is it purely fitness or does it repair musclesetc

plyometrics = cardio, but will also work the legs.

Yoga = recovering / stretching / balance / core.

Have you tried plyometrics? it's intense and will help you reduce your body fat to show muscles.

Have you tried yoga x (it's boring / repetitive though), it starts making you more flexible, helps tone muscle groups and improve balance. I feel it on my sholders today after doing yoga x.

In the long haul though I may replace yoga x with cardio x, or something like that as i find the first 30-40 mins of yoga x a real grind (plank -> upward dog -> plank -> downward dog -> swing leg through -> do some bullshit -> REPEAT 100x'

male bodyfat should be under 10%. If you cant see your abs then your too fat and theres no 2 ways about it. My abs have well and truely done a runner over the past 3 months too. What im doing to get into shape again is a bit different to this!

only place i can mount it is inside a cupboard but the wall is a false one and probably wont hold my weight

I've got the Iron Gym pull up bar, thankfully it fits in a couple of doorways. The only problem I have is almost touching the floor at the lowest point.

Thats always an excuse, get this and use it to get rid of the fat. Check Youtube and you'll see its perfect for that.

Just in from completing Day 5, Legs and Back.

Found the legs bit fairly easy tbh as Ive always had strong leg muscles naturally, but done over 120 pull ups on the back bits and its nearly killed me

I've got to say though, I think the diet bit is really kicking in, Ive not had a proper drink for over 2 weeks now (had a few beers last Wednesday), and not eaten any crap now for over that time, Im feeling much better day to day than when I was eating shite.
