well yeah, but on that basis Wimbledon are a better team that liverpool in the era of 1989 when there long ball team beat you lot in the FA cup, which we know wasnt the case
everyone knows they played "anti" football, but got points/cups
blackburn are a very long ball team, made up of big blokes, hopefully playing a more postive way will reep rewards

Your first sentence is a load of crap. Im not saying they are a better team as they beat you in a one off game (if that was the case we'd be arguing Burnley are better than United). Im arguing they are better as over 24 games they have more points than you.
Style doesnt come in to it either, or you'd say Arsenal are the best team in the league, when they arent.

Put it this way, if he was your first choice and for £50k a week then you lot are more retarded than I thought for being happy about it. At least if he wasnt the first choice and was a last gasp signing then you'd have some sort of excuse.

blackburn have accumilated more points
your argument was benni has left a better team ? he has left a team with more points yes, he hasnt left a better team for his style of play, relying on knock downs or having chris samba as a strike partner

we need a premiership proven striker, in january, to get us out of trouble considering last week we had NO senior strikers fit at the club (and only have 2 anyway)
who would you have signed oh magical one

So by the same argument Blackburn have suddenly turned to a shite playing team? And 3 seasons ago they played great football hence how he scored lots of goals?
Yeah, thats not right is it, as Blackburn have ALWAYS played crap football.

Im not arguing you should of signed someone else, he isnt a bad choice - but he isnt worth £50k a week - christ Id find it hard to argue he is worth half that.

he must have been on that or close at rovers, tbh the fees ive seen are a bit less than that anyway through all the ITK's
if he scores 5-10 goals he's worth it

He may get you 5 - he wont score you 10.
So by that rate he'll be costing you something like £150k a goal just in wages - nice.

Birmingham fans would argue otherwise to a certain degree - at least thats the impression I got when they sold up.
Still, surely even you think £50k is ridiculous.
And I dont give a shit what he was on at Blackburn, they werent playing him and wanted rid as knew he wasnt worth what he was on.

of course i do, but like i said, i'll reserve judgement until the end of season as he could prove a very valuable signing given our difficulties with strikers over the past few months.

how is a player signed for 2 million and on 50k a week (your the only one who ive seen write that) the same as we were spending
we have a manager who has had NO senior strikers to play for the last few weeks, its a great option consdiering where we are at the minute and who else is about
i thought you knew about football and can see this is wise
on the matter of birmingham, the team that is currently doing so well was the team and the manager g&s financed, so they must have done something right
