haven't done anything to the car recently, everything seems to be breaking or falling off
gave the car a quick clean after work and couldn't find my decent camera, so had to settle with some crappy phone pics:
some of the bits that i need to fix:
wing mirror mysteriously fell off
windscreen cracked so half the windscreen mists up on cold nights
door lock is buggered
drivers side headlamp mists up sometimes, usually when washing the car

Seal headlight more and get a small silica gel packet and pop it in the back of the headlight otherwise it will continue to mist up

silica gel is a great idea, cheers
only problem with adding sealant to the headlight is the bumper needs to come off again bloody cars!

I've split apart 3 sets of headlights and ALL of them had moisture re-visiting the inside at some point.
Might be worth taking back covers off and leaving it lens down in an airing cupboard over night once you have re-sealed them!

its good to practise, i just went to start corrado at the weekend and noticed the driveshaft isn't fitted right, so had to jack it all up and dismantle one side of suspension again

When I remove things I usually.end up breaking something else though
Prime example being a plastic support for the bumper on the wings. 22 quid for a new one

Just look at it as new parts you can add to your spec list.
MY03 BMW Z4 3.0i
-FK springs
-Black wheels
-New bumper support
already starting to sound like a proper CS build

sticking this in here as i think it looks great. wish i had those wheels.
and want some 20-25mm rear spacers too:
also, beginning to get annoyed at how dirty the calipers get after i painted them red so after winter i will no doubt be painting them silver or grey.
oh and my clear third brake light has cracked and a piece has fallen off common problem. the original one was cracked and i bought the clear one to replace it. only been on 6 months almost as bad quality as ford

i didn't mind the red one but as that was cracked, i changed it to the cheap OEM+ clear one, which is cheaper for some strange reason.Won't be changing it yet anyway, will wait until next year now.

front end is in bits again as i decided to remove the headlamps in the dark to sort out the moisture inside one of them, and to sort out the sidelight bulb in the other.
fortunately taking the cover off the headlamp was simple as the silicone just pulled away so took 5 seconds to separate (probably how water got in), dried it all out and have put a load of silicone on again. hopefully that cures those 2 problems.
i'm glad taking the front end off these is so easy, otherwise i'd be gutted. it's been off 3 or 4 times now.
tomorrow's job is sorting out that door lock hopefully that's simple also.

managed to fix the wing mirror. bought new glass for a tenner and used the existing backing plate. nice cheap fix.
spent today trying to sort the buggered door lock out. what a ball ache of a job. had to get my dad to do it in the end as the window mechanism and door lock mechanism needed removing from a small hole in the door.
turns out the lock is broken but we've managed to fix it so it doesn't move about and sits flush with the door handle. going to put a lock cover on it tomorrow as i don't use it anyway.
in fixing that, another problems came up. when i go past 40mph with my window fully up, theres a whistling sound coming into the cabin, so i'm guessing the window isn't in the correct position
need spacers badly now. i love the lookof this
such a shame i need to spend some monies on house bits

Good luck with the window they are a fucking ball ache to get lined up properly. I would take it to someone who knows what they are doing like a window company or you'll be there hours.

i like them red, but i don't wash the cash often so they end up with loads of brake dust on, and look crap.
