What trumpets and ducting are you using for the brakes?

3" for the trumpets 2.5" for ducting. its not needed though.

Decided on going the ring on the 28th so i best sort the car out!

needs the following doing:

Oil Change
Brake Fluid Change
Fit the DZ03s
Paint the front of the cage
fit in the interior back in
refurb os caliper
tracking

so thats a bit to do in 2 weeks!

Maybe get the turbo and injectors fitted and mapped before i go!

Went to RS Tuning yesterday. Found out i have a poorly turbo

Booked in again for the 2nd to have the hybrid fitted and mapped.

Well went to the ring on wednesday! Beautiful weather compared to the last time i went. 3 others went along, Megane 250, 350z & a 1.9Tdi Audi.

Started off with 10:30 laps and on my 9th lap i had shaved off near 2mins and got a 8:45!

So some pictures:








Off to RSTuning tomorrow to have a hybrid fitted and mapped.

I was quite happy i got under 9..... Plenty more scope to go quicker next time I'm going to try and get under 8:30!

So my turbo was on its way out. Using oil and not running the best power. 255/275 so a trip to RST was in order to have my hybrid fitted.

Broke turbo:


After 4 hours fitting the new turbo and an hour mapping. It was all done. It now runs 284/301 and holds boost until the redline unlike the old turbo that dropped after 5k

Did a very very wet cadwell park. First time ive been back since i crashed well over 2 years ago.







Fastest lap of the day was a 1:40.632

So i went to pick up a new engine afterwards. ready for forging.

Stripped the engine down:


Ordered some new bits: 83mm Supertech Pec pistons




So the block needs to be machine new oil jets & all other bits Water Pump, Oil Pump, Gaskets, Bearings etc

When is it? All depends how quick i can get the new engine in. I have some positive oil pressure issue at the moment and overboosting

Polycarb windows for the rear have just be sorted!

Booking in to have a foot plate put in so i can remove the carpet completly.

How you finding the hybrid? What's the power and delivery like?

A mate of mine was at Caldwell a few weeks back in a red megane with a few from Meganesport (I think) was this the same day?

Just got a set of these poly carb windows on the cheap, did you just rivet them in? Amy reason why you couldn't bond them?
