Even if they brought back 3rd cars McLaren would be needed 4th or 5th cars 😂. Shocking and surely heads have got to start rolling at both McLaren and Honda, it's appalling.

Yeah, but check Alonso's time compared to the Merc's. They've made up at least a second a lap so far, since the first race of the season. Not too bad in terms of development imo.

It worries me that when Seb went out without MGU-H, Ted said "that Ferrari sounds like a Honda"

First 15 laps were epic. The rest was a bit of a snooze a thin except for Kimi throwing away the podium like fucking champ. That and Romain accusing Stevens of hitting him
Massa and Seb today tho

Honestly its sooooo bad in person, much worse than it sounds on TV, just sounds broken.
Quiet thread, Lewis haterz back into their box i assume?
Had me going after the stops, Nico was getting far too close for my liking at times but Lewis said he had time in his pocket which showed when Nico got close he'd just up it a bit and keep him just out of the DRS zone, superbly controlled. My worry now is surely one of them are due a DNF soon...

Dont think its too early mate, they've been a shambles for well over a decade now, even when they managed to produce a decent car they try their hardest to fuck it up. Awful team getting everything they deserve and its funny as fuck.

Also, 1 pole and 3 race wins away from matching Vettel. 4 race wins from Senna. Expect those to go this year.
Led the most laps of any British driver, ever.
Plenty of years left in him yet too

It's surprised me really, until the Merc started romping last season I wasn't really aware of the statistics - but it's hard to avoid now with the broadcasters ramming it down our throats all the time.
I would have never guessed that Lewis could match/surpass Seb in a couple of seasons after the four we had before it - but that goes to show that it was pretty much always Lewis (or 'Nando) picking up the scraps when RBR failed somewhere and as such it's kept him pretty close on the statistics.
It really does put Schumi's stats into perspective though

Aye, no one is getting near Schumi for a long, long time. It'd need a perfect storm of young, world class driver entering a dominant team at just the right time and a very stable rule set.
You never know i suppose, if Merc stay on top when it all changes in 2017 then its possible he could win his 5th WDC that season. Even that wouldnt put him ahead of MS though
Its good hes finally getting the records to go with his undoubted talent, im certain in 30 years time we'll look back at Lewis' time in F1 and be able to say Britain produced one of the best F1 drivers of all time, which is why im so desperate to see him race live while i can, might not see anything like this from a British driver again in my lifetime.

Fair play to Seb though this weekend. However much I try not to like him, I can't help but think he's actually a pretty sound guy. Always comes across fairly well in interviews and his infield racing has certainly improved a lot from his first couple of years at RB.

Someone on Facebook said this in reply to a photo put up by Lewis Hamiltons Facebook team:
''Great job, but Watch out....Mclaren are coming''.
I think they were being serious aswell

Well that was a rather strange ending Nico
Thought Lewis had blown it until Nico blew it himself at the last corner. Poor guy.......

Sounds like Lewis' spin was a braking issue, rather than driver error.
Wouldn't be the first time we've seen locking brakes since all this recovery system stuff was introduced.

There is that possibility also. Definitely a cool track, similar to Monaco except for the fact you can actually overtake here.

It was definitely tyres for Lewis as the back just locked under braking
Good session and close up front so hopefully some good racing today

Kimi further demonstrating that my opinion of him being overrated is true. Definitely nowhere near drivers like Lewis/Alonso, more around Buttons level, good when literally everything is perfect.
Properly good quali that. Had no idea where it was going until the very last corner! Verstappen very impressive again and a cracking lap from Le Mans winner Hulkenberg.
