Just out of curiostiy, can you fit a 6spd g/box to a corsa, or would you have to have the likes of a V6 first?

Nic - there is prob heaps you can do to make it grip more.... not only on corners but in a straight line.

Your susp is prob a bit basic, fecking up weight transfer so the brunt of the force moves weight to the rear (ront lifts on acceleration) and brakes traction. You want as much weight over the front as possible, and you dont want it to shift (reverse of a RWD car).

i.e RWD drag cars would go for a softish susp setup to make the rear drop and shift weight to the rear. I think you'd want a fairly solid rear setup to avoid this shift in a FWD car.

Wider wheels - more rubber.

Wrinkle wall slicks tyres and wheelie bars for 1/4mile bullshit

Make a bolt on DIY wheelie bar that forces the weight to the front for next time at crail

today i been doing this.......

going to take it for some testing tomorrow. see how it goes. also washed it. shocking i know.

AK - going to investigate some stuff. so far jacked the back end up a bit higher try and keep front end down. was utterly crap when it was slammed on the back made no sense. it used to be far far better on the r888's for grip. although i havent tested them yet since its had more engine work. will see what happens.

not soft and rigid are different.

Lee is on the right track, but not quite pratical. Maybe jam the coils with those lifeter things that sit between the spring coils.

its the springs you need to change (for very firm ones).... the shocks dampen the springs.... springs are easy to change on the rear of a corsa

you could get concentric front top mounts and adjust for less camber so more tyre contact patch is on the road, I would recommend adjusting it back for road use, unless you don't want to see another corner ever again.
