It has indeed engine wise, it's perfect.
Here is what I need to fix:
- Re-attach n/s wing mirror
- Re-align o/s window
- Re-seal o/s headlamp
- Weld backbox hanger back on
- Replace auxillary belt
- Get snapped bolt out of n/s rear hub
- o/s front link bar (think it's call that) has come loose.
- drivers door lock broken, got a lock cover to go on that.
Apart from those problems, it's fine
Tbh it's all small jobs, mostly caused by me

cut apart the headlamp and re-sealed it again today. the amount of water inside was a bit worrying.
i decided to use another plastic cover as the one on it had a tiny crack, that may well have been letting the moisture in.
so far so good. will have to check it again in the morning.
also got my lock cover on which covers up the unsightly metal lock in the door handle. much better

silicone sealant was what was recommended by some blokes who had already split their own headlights.
the passenger side one has been fine, it's just this drivers said one that's been giving me so much grief.

Butyl is what you need.
Or you could do the Land Rover trick of drilling one hole low down on one corner of the case (rear) and another up high and the air circulation will get rid of any water or condensation.

Sounds a clever idea that. Remember seeing that on wheeler dealers.
Just drove 10 miles in the wet and not a hint of moisture or water, so fingers crossed the problems sorted!
Next task is to sort out the washer bottle leak. Found out friday night that sitting behind lorries doing 60mph on wet dirty roads ends up in seriously dirty windscreens with no washer fluid
Leak is coming from the pump/hose that comes out the side of the washer bottle which feeds the headlight washers.
Quite important to sort it for safety.

got up early today to get the new windscreen fitted.
the guy removed the trim around the windscreen, the scuttle, wipers and rear view mirror.
then he got the new pattern part screen out and noticed it was curved vertically more than standard.
he said it wouldn't fit well so didn't want to take my one out only to have a shit windscreen fitted, so refused to fit it.
coming back on wednesday with another one from a different supplier.
annoyed as i got up early after being on earlies all week, but also appreciate him telling me and not leaving me with a shit fitting windscreen.

ok so after being gutted about the windscreen, i decided to give the car a quick clean.
you can see the small bit of condensation on the pic of the front end in the drivers side headlamp (at the bottom, middle).
also, got some quick pics of the lock cover

Cheers man. I will be painting the calipers over christmas. I like them red but against the black wheels they look a bit chavvy.
This icy weather makes driving enthusiastically hard work but insanely fun and addictive

I still can't help but think the body coloured bit under the front plate would look awesome in black

same pow. i keep meaning to buy some gloss black vinyl to do the a pillar's and horizontal bar in the bumper but keep forgetting.
m2rty, yes we all have 3 bins each they are an eyesore but better than bin bags on the street. i store mine in the garage to give more space on the driveway and also because they look awful
