V8s might be heavy but they can take a fair battering off rocks and the like and last

DMR Vaults are where it is at if you can stretch that far. Highly recommended.

Got V8's on mine. Cheap and cheerfull, of course I must have over looked the weight side of things. But then as a pure fat cunt it doesn't really apply to me.

Weight won't be too much of an issue. Will look into the Welgo MG-1's though.
Hopefully going to Dalby Forest over the easter weekend to try it out and the CTD settings on the Fox Float 32 suspension.

Cold in mornings so wear a jacket on my commute, hot in the evening so I sweat like a bitch on the way home.
How do I remedy this situation? I don't carry a bag so can't do that. Is there a happy medium?

Decathlon do thermal jerseys which come in a little ziplock bag in the cycling aisle. They keep you warm when it's cold and keep you cool when it's warm (to a degree). Helly Hansen do some similar things with a striped band down the sleeves too.
Stick one of those on under your normal top and embrace the cold for a few mins while you warm up

Maxxis ikon EXC. Fast tyre but rubbish in durability. EXC is suposed to have a higher TPI casing and be better wearing. Had them 2 months and got loads of little punctures that have resealed and this one that didnt. Tread has worn rapidly too. Waste of £80
Back to schwalbe I think and tubes......

What sort of pressures do you guys run on trails? Done 10 miles so far on loose ground and the tyres seem rock hard.
Might just be me, I've not been in the bike scene for a long time.

Try this to get a rough idea. I tend to run much lower than pressures than my mates, alot of it is what feels best for you..

depends on the surface. rocky stuff, normally around 35 front and 40 rear, normal trails i prefer 27ish in front and 30 in the rear. trial and error really.
