Perhaps a fault with it. This doesn't. Neither does the x6 as that's an auto handbrake as well. Worst bit is the start stop. Shoukd really knock that off as I find it annoying. Can keep the car running if you lightly press the brake so the handbrake comes on. Heavy press it cuts the engine.

Have you looked into whether this can be changed with VCDS? Always wondered if you can manipulate the default start-stop setting.

I can switch it off on the nav screen yeah. Just learned to come to a stop without fully pressing the brake pedal currently.

Aye but would be good to turn the bugger off permanently so you have to physically enable start-stop via nav screen. Rather than disable every journey.

I think it does? As you can change the settings for the car and it saves them. Will have a go on the way home knocking it off see if it's back on when I drive it tomorrow. Reckon as you say I will be able to get it disabled. I have friends at the dealership so I'm sure they would sort it.

Also just found a video of an American mk7 that has a different menu on the nav screen which seems to show up a boost gauge and other stuff

http://youtu.be/nvHs_iDUN9k

I definitely don't have that menu.

you cannot select perminate disbale in the normal menu

Its against EU law for emissions - if you disable it, its for the duration of that car being run - as soon as you turn the ignition off it will revert to auto stop start

Sounds like you have to manipulate voltage limit to effectively disable it...

Can time your 0-60 with them. Pretty cool, but very expensive for that luxury.

says you adjust the temperature range to something off the scale and it stops it being used.

Sounds about right. Start-stop only begins to work when the engine is at normal operating temperature iirc.

has a good bit of other info on it as well. I think it's very smart looking and fits in nicely with the original styling of the gauges and displays etc. It's on the list....

The Vauxhall ones only release when you lift the clutch and accelerate so it will be releasing when you touch the throttle. If you put it on and just lift the clutch without accelerating it won't release.

Just put my foot down and it releases and accelerates, it doesn't roll backwards.
