Thats been edited then as when i looked about 7am this mornign there was no mention of villa! Also Barca/Alves confirmed the transfer last week

You'd definately be in with a good shout next season wrre you to get those 3 (depending on who were to elave I suppsoe)
We are now apparently bookies favourite to sign Arshavin (not that it means fuck all mind!)
He'd be a much better player than Hleb to have on the win drfting in... although maybe a little like RVP... could play both on the wing as part of 4-5-1

He'll go to Spain if any of those show an interest, which I think they will.
I'd be happy not signing Barry, but signing Silva and Villa. Then selling Crouch, Pennant, Riise, Carson, Finnan, Guthrie to raise £25m+

Yeah I cant see us being able/willing to compete if Barca/Real etc. come in + he has said he'd prefer a move to SPain... + we need to see a bit more of him really, altho had an outstanding season

The deal only made sense to me if we were going to make a decent profit on the deal AND we had no other money to spend. But with Villa holding out for stupid money and Juventus not meeting what we want I dont see the need to do the deal - plus Alonso is MUCH better than Barry.
