I've still got the cutter, if you want to buy some vinyl I don't mind spending some time cutting them. Need to tidy up in there first because the show stuff is still all in the way but it's not expensive doing it this way.

Overdue as you mention it Ben.
Got a new rear strut-brace harness mount for my birthday, that needs pics.
Also got some plans for the suspension and removing the soundproofing.

Suspension plans came a step closer to fruition tonight. Decided to fit the coilovers that I've had in the garage for a few months now.
Bought them a while ago, basically they were not as advertised being the model down and not Golds as the guy had suggested. They also had play in the shafts. I wasn't sure what to do until a nice chat with the guy from KW at TVL who advised that the play may be due to them having sat off a car for a while, and that I should work them in a bit and give them a try.
So after some Saturday night takeaway, Ste and I decided to play cars for a bit. Front two are on tonight. Rears are fork type and the car is eye type so we need to revisit the beam but that is for another day.
Spot the deliberate mistake. Yes, that is the ARB without a mounting eye because that is the OS damper fitted to the NS
Fixed it shortly after but no pics.
Fun fun.

good stuff. Question about your brakes, have you still got your abs pump in situ or have you removed it

No he actually got pissed off that I was having the conversation publicly on another forum and that I was bad-mouthing him.
They felt better after being worked a bit so we'll see how that goes. They are also not Golds but I can live with that. Just some misplaced trust there.

Did you happen to notice what year they were?
Could do with an older type rear beam although I might also take the whole car if its available.

make sure when you get the rear beam there is the 11mm spacer on the stub axle bolt holes still attached
old beams are narrower and have a spacer by default to make up the difference

Have you got the FRP spacers now? That may also be a worthwhile mod.

Think one is an s reg, One is an r reg as it is a mates old one and i didn't notice a numberplate on another.
Don't think he would let you take one out of there as they are in for breaking. The silver one is in pretty much one peice!

Thats the one!
When you go in, Turn right after the building and its on your left think its behind a silver escort.
Should be easy to see the beam on all 3 of them as they are on top of the pile.

StreetKa spacers and bolts ordered, thanks for your help today Steve.
Scrappy trip this morning, no pics as my phone battery was going flat which is a shame, good fun. Got a fork beam off easy enough, plenty of access. Then set about getting mine off tonight with Leighton.
Drums off with lines attached, figured that would be easier.
We know you like spanners.
So we put a spanner in your spanner.
Fairly tight, these.
And off. Notice the absense of the exhaust as well. That is getting changed so seemed like a good time to remove the fast-fit spec in favour of the Piper noisy stupid thing.
Tune in tomorrow for collection of the spacers and assembly of the new beam.
Apologies that the flash makes the car look rustier than your uncle on the dance floor. It's not that bad in the flesh honest pass me the wire brush
