Agreed with Joe Cole playing.
Gerrard has to play behind Rooney too.

Also, Prince Harry and Wills were obviously joking when they said that the guy got in because "they left the door open" yet NOTW has decided that that's a 2 page story in their paper this morning!
Beckham said the guy said hello and walked out, so i'd guess it would of been something in the middle

Thats the advantage too with playing Cole. This is his chance to get himself noticed and get a move to where ever he wants.

I'd rather see him playing for Spurs than Utd.
But i know who my choice would be out of those teams! Would love to see him back at West Ham, but that is insanely unlikely, and we couldnt afford him anyway!
Hope he does well and gets games if he does go to Utd.

I'm hoping that him and Rooney link up well, set up and score a few goals between them and he will then decide to make the move up north to United!
Regardless of that though he needs to play, at least just try it and see how it works.
I think Terry is coming over very well in all this BTW.

Yep...I usually can't stand him but he has gone up in my book from this. He could have said no to doing what was a tough press conference as he's not captain any more. Tbh if I was Gerrard, I would have wanted as captain to be the one to face the media.
Well done Terry. It was interesting his "maybe some of us will be sent home after tonight" comment. Suggests the team meeting may be the opportunity for the players to get their point across.
Its obvious its not all rosy in the training camp...boredom, disagreement with tactics etc, but no where near as bad as the media make out!
At the end of the day Capello is doing what he thinks is best, he's done very well pre WC and we know the players are good enough on their day, with the right formation etc.
So time to get behind the guys again.

Press saying Capello will resign should we fail to qualify. Which is stupid, as he got us where we are and has had us playing the best football (in qualifying) for some time. Can't call for players to step down either, like it or not, its our best players out there.

This is quite interesting...suggests James is far from happy with Capello's team announcement 2 hours before kick off!!

If England play a 4-5-1 and throw Cole on the left and play Gerrard behind Rooney, they should walk it tbh. Gerrard is far from comfortable on the left, and Rooney has shown for Utd this season that he is brilliant up top on his own.
Ps; That was a brilliant finish from Vera!

Good from JT. Capello has to drop Heskey, purely because he is doing fuck all for the team. I also wouldn't play Lennon, granted not many England players have done much but Lennon has done nothing what so ever. For a guy with pace, you think he would want the ball and he would run at the oppo, but he doesn't.
James
Johnson King/Dawson JT A.Cole
Barry
SWP Lampard J.Cole
Gerrard
Rooney
or something like this anyway.

If we play that team we can take over the world. I'd rather Lennon than SWP though personally.

Just because you can run fast doesn't mean you can play football.
I want to see lennon, or SWP taking on the defence getting to the line and whipping a ball into the box, i haven't seen that yet i don't think.
