Do a conversion and Then say that.
Good work Jamie, You see why I said about the sump now? If you do put silicone on the new gasket, make it a tiny tiny amount.

Cheers alex, I left it dry in the end to be on the safe side, if it comes to the worst, ie. still leaks then I'll take it off again and put a drop on it.
Dan the difference is I have a car to get me around so I'm in no hurry. If I needed the car then it would have been done months ago. Its just a little project for me to play with in my spare time/ when I want.

Oh yeah you did didn't you! Haha forgot that lol. I've got a corsa c 1.8 Sri, I'll get sum pics up for u when I'm on computer.. I did buy another B about two months ago, an Arden sport, but after driving it for a week, you soon realise they are nothing in comparison to the C with regards to power, comfort etc.. Onwards and upwards.. ALWAYS lol, lesson learned!

Ah yea I remember seeing you post about the C one time, can't mind where though.
I hope I can get on with the B, I've been driving a 2010 Nissan Qashqai for the last year, which will be 100% comfier than a lowered Corsa I must be mad. Although Qashqai will probably still be my daily once its done, just take the Corsa out for runs at weekends and shows etc.

Weather was smashing today, to good off an opportunity to miss on getting some work done.
Car went back in the air.
Brakes took off,
Then I noticed the CV boots weren't in the best of condition, so off came everything else.
Strangely the hub nuts were different sizes, 6 mm of a difference, but the CVs were identical
New boot all fitted up.
Passenger side too,
Discs back on,
Passenger side was left like this as I noticed grease was oozing out of the inner CV boot now so it all has to come off again
Painted up the calipers and fitted them,
Duke looks sad as I took over his garden
Wheels back on I like the look of the red brakes behind the black.
Dad welded up my backbox for me as it had a hole in it, done a good job , gave it a spruce up when he brought it back!
And then to finish off I fitted my post 97 wheel that I got ages ago, need a new center piece for it though.
So tomorrows job if I get time will be to do the inner CV boot., but all in all got a decent bit done today

Jamie how did you get that steering wheel to fit?! I bought one for mine ages ago and couldnt see how it would fit with all the airbag stuff on it so I sold it

Shaun I'm not sure tbh , I cut all the airbag wires off so the airbag isn't in use now, wired the horn up and the steering wheel went on the exact same way as the old one came off, there was nothing different done
Driveshaft is now out
Track rod off
Then the bottom ball joint
Then unbolt the suspension, forgot to take a pic.
Release the clip on the gearbox and pull
Obviously if you have your brakes on the car they need to come off too
Need to go get a CV boot now

Yea, most of it will be hidden though when the arch liner goes on

Yea I used cable ties, I fiddled for ages with the crimp clips and I couldn't get them tight enough or else they kept slipping, got fed up with them and resulted to cable ties
I'll give them another try.
