Ten miles in to my ride this morning and my chain snapped

Had a feeling it was going to be happening though so decided on a road ride rather than a trail

Just rode to the top of Hatton Locks and back - nice easy climb up along the tow paths and an easy cruise back down again

Been up to whinlatter again did 2 routes. Really enjoy the north side descent, getting a bit more confident and hitting a few more of the jumps instead of just rolling over them. Had a very good day was out with about 20 people.

That is pretty quick Cole. Is that on road?

What sort of trails do you ride in the forests? Are they proper single track/red runs?

None of it is marked as red blue etc its all natural single track taking in all the features in the forest.there is some man made stuff like the downhill section.
Todays ride was all on road on my mtb

You should get a Time Trial bike for the commute you would be able to do it in 25 mins easily then

Had my mountain bike fixed but won't be able to get out on it for at least another week as I crushed my thumb yesterday. Bet all this nice weather will have gone by the time I get on it again

Well my SPD pedals arrived today. Damn impulse buy.

I guess I need some shoes to go with them now?

Are they worth using or should I just sell them on eBay?

You would if you were commuting to work like that.

Not if you were doing an actual time trial.

I've just been bought this by my parent's as an early birthday present.

Second hand at £200 from a friend of my dad's who does a lot of cycling. The bike has hardly been used at all!

Seems to ride very well. Very light, and the gears aren't crappy grip shift
