It's an awesome place the Lake District. One big play ground. Good ride out on the bike, then took a random drive through the hills. Great car, can see why its been in the top 2 best cars to buy 2 years running. I'm actually going to say it's epic. Made the right choice.

Ain't bad on fuel either

As are the wing mirrors. I've done 3 sets on these now. And at over £500 per mirror, it ain't cheap

Considering the company it's in, and they say it's technically joint first, not a bad real world opinion on the golf.

I think it's because not many models had electric folding wing mirrors, also mine has puddle lights or whatever they are called.

You'd think so at that price. R's are the only one that come with the chrome sort of caps. They are £130 each on their own.

Then as nic said, they are electric fold in and have indicators and puddle lights in.

Can buy a pair of carbon caps cheaper than 1 genuine chrome one.

Thinking of doing the chrome bits black actually. Oddly I like the mirrors though.

Only gets a 4 star on Parkers whereas my discontinued bust company Saab 05 95 Aero gets a 5 star rating.

Made my day knowing owners think its a better car than a Golf R.

In 2015, your 2005 car wouldn't have got that rating. Whereas mine if it went back in time to 2005 would get a 24 star rating. Just saying.

Say you drive 12 hours a day at 60mph. That's 720 miles a day. Say you drive every other day, that would be 262800 miles in a year.
