In todays society  I feel imovho that tuning mods are more popular than styling mods. The trend of late seems to be tuning hatches but with subtle styling mods, so I would say perhaps you are wrong in this case.
I also very much doubt Sooty is a boy racer, he doesn't drive a Nova now does he
