Went for that design to go against the grain. Its all about being different
The sound quality isnt hampered either. When the boots shut and you're in the car, because the speakers are pointing towards the boot, it sounds fine. No problem when the boot is open either. Probably cause its such a small space.
I think you're on about the fans when you say the mirrors. They are made of plastic hence the plasticy look and are obviously needed to cool the amps down. Also gives off a nice neon light effect in the dark.

Not got that one anymore. See? Wing mirrors. And was the only way I could keep the rear seats and have the kickers in a ported box. But, the new one has stayed for too long now, and has to go VERY soon cos its been there FAR to long. So, a change is due, but this time round, good bye rear seats and hello 155dB+(I hope)

When i meant mirrors i meant mirrors (look at the red circle):
they look like mirrors to me however, im not slatting your install what so ever, i was just pointing out a few things that i thought were abit odd However, my personal opinion on ICE is if your going to spend grands on it, then you might as well make it sound better that what it looks...unless you car is going to be used as a show car, in which case it will be targetted towards what people want to see (ie: funky installs) and thats why i said snowy's was the bollox
