The Vectra V6 is far far superior to a tinny 106 or saxo

depends on what u are analysing when u say far superior. GTI would rape a V6 on a 1/4 mile,
Do running costs come into the equation etc.
Do some research...........

no it isnt, not many cars are gonna be absolutely mint if they get thrashed day in day out for 80k miles, especially not a saxo!!

Regardless of how well you maintain it at the end of the day its not a VW or Audi, its a french hot hatch, and i can name lots of them that are of poor build quality!

Oh and Macca G, a VTS is the same car as the GTi, just styled differently.

Im fairly sure the Astra and the Vecta use a differnt chassis for a start
(if im wrong here then i admit to looking like a tit!)

lol, think it was a joke by Macca_G, why do people get so wound up! also at the end of the day id prefer a vectra V6, and the colour Macca_G has is the same as my dads, and i love it, the main reason id have the vectra is the size of them and the v6 is hardly slow is it now? ok just realised it totally off ur arguement, but yeah the 106 and vts are the same bar a few styling bits!

I like Veccie V6s but a 106gti driven by someone who knew how to exploit its potential would spank the Veccie through the twisty stuff

fair doos, obviosly a rare example, and maintained regardless.

But i know of more than a few brand new VTR's and VTS's that have spent more time at Citroen than in the hands of thier new owners due to the fact that they are falling to bits and have annoying rattles.

yeah i driven a 2001 V6 vectra as my dad got one as a hire car once. No doubting they are a very nice car but a GTI would be quicker due to the weight difference and i would imagine the power to weight ratio would be alot better on a GTI

They are both slow but the 106 is more desirable.

Yeah and as soon as you get one of your mates in your car it suddenly slows down the V6 has enough torque to be just as quick with a few of my mates in.... and then after that does not slow down much at all
