As Ojc says, you'd loose so much handling responsiveness - the old works Nova's were 1600 for a reason!!!

Plus 2.0 conversions are common as muck now. Id much prefer a 1400 or 1600 thats rally prepared and can beat 2.0's

Nothing gives you a bigger smug smile when you open your bonnet to show someone in a 2.0 that you've just beaten in your 1400 8v!!!

And the X14/16XE engines are so easy to fit as they hook up to the original engine mounts, driveshafts.

All I would need to change is the fuel tank for a GTE/GSi version with fuel injection so that the tank has a swirl pot.

The loom, ecu I would have to replace the alternator for a Nova SRi one and change the bottom pulley to accept the V-belt.

Cool, you've obviously seen me on there.

I don't think the size of the package is a problem, its just the weight.

If I send you the money (u2u me a price) could you then arrange for it to be sent to me?

No but I know a lad who is seeling a 180ishbhp one, pocketed pistons (highh comp) hybrid turbo etc etc, had bare metal respray about a year ago and has half cage and soem tasty body mods and it's dropped about 80 mil on adjusatbles so it handles well, thinking about buying it.

I admit they look good when they look like what you've described but I find that with turbo cars you are constantly shelling out money on keeping it road worthy.

The wing mirrors and the tints look gay. He needs to remove the vinyl from the rear quarter as well.

Ah ok, ta Nismo

Ive got that vinyl on my Nova and it doesnt look bad I think. You dont even notice it really.

Adam - Its not the best car in the world, but you have to admit that its miles better than most bodykitted cars. Id loose the wing vent, all black skirt bits/splitters and the spoiler and it'd be nicer.
