a 200sx driver got a s'prise when he tryed racing a vectra V6 from the lights although i think a certain amount of the V6s success was down to expert driving ability

Aye, a lot does depend on the driver, no good if it takes you half a year to change gear etc

Veccy but not a gsi.....ST200.... 6 pots ,konis, lighter, the best seat vaux have fitted and quicker.
Ive driven the scoob and the st200 and the veccy would muller the uk spec above 70 and in the dry the veccy has mental handling. Its near enough the touring car with rear seats.

Id def go 4 the vectra. its newer n all that, n sure the scoobys gonna b faster. but the best thing about the vectra GSi is that people dont always expect em to perfrom like they do. whereas people know and expect scoobys to perform - so it can b a lot of fun suprising people in em from traffic lights n stuff
my dad had a mk1 vectra GSi n its was lots of fun! they sound mint n go like stink

I'd not get any of them, you can get a 3.0 Omega Cheaper.
They are RWD too.

Hiya mate, if i were you i'd pick the Vectra.. I have an SRI V6 and my uncle has a WRX and to be fair i would choose my Vectra any day.. Its got long legs of 150MPH and gets there bloody quick! Admittedly its not as quick or as good handling as the WRX but mid range there aint a lot in it and the handling is fantastic for a big car, feels like a sporty hatch when thrown into corners. My friend has the same car with lowered suspesion and full stainless exhaust and its quicker and handles better than mine so mods do work for them plus the sound of the V6 is gooorgeous... And engines are usually problem free if cambelt is done every 40K.. I would Love a GSI though..!! more comfort more sportiness, i test drove on once ..it was amazin alot quicker than mine as it has the 3.0L cams Vectra tuning is fairly expensive but a lot of power can be released... look into the CS15+ package that courney do... then theres the cat and chip... Modding final drive on the gear box can loose 1 sec of quarter mile times, but the Vectra should be more of a compfort cruiser with massive mid-range power they are never gonna be a launcher 0-30 is about 2.3 secs and no really gonna get any better above 30 they are really quick! 0-40 in 1st gear 0-65 in 2nd.... Test drive a GSI and you will see what i mean

Th Omegas are good cars but not as quick as the Vectra as they are a lot bigger, My uncles WRX seems unhealty at only 20K on the clock... I would have an imporessa but would miss the comfort of the Vectra... All depends what you want out of a car Omega nice not too quick but big and comfortable...Imprezza small and nible and i see the Vectra as a compramize of good looks speed and comfort.....
