aye, i agree with phil on this one. No offence like Nismo, but your just being ignorant by saying that because you beat an elise it automatically makes your car superiour to the elise, making the elise a bag of shite does that mean, if i got into my mates RS6 and kicked your arse all over the show, the RS6 would be a better car than the RX7?.....very unlikey in most peoples eyes, but by what your saying, it should do
Eitherway, the elise is a good car and although its a tad expensive for what your getting (would rather have a 'busa westfield), its up to date in terms of technology compared to the RX7 (although the engine is something else in the RX's).
Any who's, the "race" should have been just some fun between two drivers and not a battle to see whos car is the best...if that was the case, then there are plenty of people on the road that would give your RX7 a good kicking...although im sure they would just smile and wave, instead of laughing
Yes i know what your saying generally im allways up for fun and flash/hazard after but it was the way that he just kept wanting to continue it till he won on raods through villages overtaking stuff to catch back up then sit on my rear till we got to an open road again , ill only play when the roads clear and safe not doing stupid stuff like he was
aye, in which case, just let the bastard through and play it safe....no point in putting yourself in danger or doing stupid stuff to prove a point
plus, elise's are not all shit (just the drivers ), every sports car has there advantages and disadvantages, with the elise's being on the track
Eitherway, i can think of alot better things to spend 30 odd grand on than a elise...ie: a twin 'busa westfield, which would rape most 4 and 2 wheeled things down the local dual carriageway..especially with a 0-60 being around the 3.0secs mark

The VX is a crazy machine. I had a decent blast in one y'day and even though its only a few days old and not fully loosened up, it was awesome.
Be interesting to drive the new Elise with the 190bhp Toyota lump straight afterwards and see how it compares.

0-60? 1/4 mile, 0-100, 30-70?
Just estimates will do.
Interested in how well it pull in fourth really to leave an Elise so comfortably even though he was in second.
Must be pretty spectacular!

Are those stats for a standard car?
Just wondering as according to EVO they're 237hp, 184hp/tonne and 0-60 in 5.4.
Same mag quotes the Elise, assuming it was the 160 @ 158hp, 217hp/tonne and 0-60 5.2.

Ah right, the stats fro EVO are UK spec then?
Do you have any stats for the older RX7, kind of a wedge shape?
I went past a house yesterday and he had a garden full of them, at least 12, different colours but all old RX7s!

Also bare in mind that the RX7 is a tein turbo and the second turbo doesnt come in untill 5000rpm so the Torque ill dramaticly rise from there.

I guess you are onabout the 2nd gen box'ie one , the club doesnt carry stats for them but i know that they can be good as the sheel fits the 13B (3rd gen) rx7 engine and weights less than 1000Kg

Yeah 13B is the 3rd gen twin turbo engine,
found these stats
2nd Gen Turbo 1986-88 2616cc Turbo 182bhp top speed 145mph 0-60 6.8 s
2nd Gen Turbo II 1989-1991 2616cc Turbo 200bhp top speed 151 0-60 6.5 s
but they are unconfirmed
they also did a NA model of the 2nd gen
