I broke my car up the strip. Well sort of.

Wasn't planning on running so had nearly a full tank of fuel, baby seats in, pram, weekly shopping etc.. decided what the fuck, was bored so went and signed on. Got in the car and realised the state it was in was not equiped for racing but had a go anyway.

Lined up for my first run and got a pretty good start, into second still good, into 3rd and nothing, lagged for what seemed like ages, engine management light came on. Took off and planted again and got a 15.7

then a 15.3 and a 15.2

Not bad considering the engine management light was on and the car was full to the brim.

Also, witnessed a corsa beating Lucky B's best time up the strip. Must be a new record for a corsa!

13.1

I got 18.8 secs in a 1.2 16v - Was running very rubbish thanks to the hot weather my car overheating on the line, could've down low 18's possible high 17's with decent weather knowing the difference it pulls in 3rd when cold compared to hot.

My reaction time was 0.501 which wasn't bad I thought. (got another 0.540 as well)

I also beat BluecorsaSxi (Rob) down the strip, but later found out he actually beat me by something like 2 hundredth's of a second coz it only starts counting when u pass the start. and where my reaction was quick, his wasn't and so I crossed the line a car lengths ahead - but it showed him as winning cunt - he did have more power though to be fair.

Was great fun The other 2 cars I raced against got 14's

Adam B - was it you that me and rob were asking to swap places with us in the queue?

I spoke to the guy, he’d done the conversion himself, was a standard 1.2L Merit shell in purple with wheel trims on. He had a 2.0L Throttle bodied cav engine in running 75Brake jets of NOS…

AK, dunno bout the fastest ones, but i ran two 15.2's(one where it bogged down and one with a mass of wheel spin) then vowed to get a 14, so on the last run, got a good start and looked on track for 14, then missed 3rd, 5times!!!!!!
