i belive ur from the westmidlands the guy who posted about the retrims? can frwd me there details also and i can meet you in person if you are once mould is done

can that dvd player replace headunit?? and also can it run an additonal screen??

Im actully from BATH ( south west )

The trimmers are contracted to trim all our demo cars and Suzie ( owner ) asked me to run the promotiuon for you lot.

Yea the DVD player will replace headunit...and yes i think you can run aditional screens.

okay and will it run my sub and componets 6x9s obviously sub and components will be amped and run the 6 x9s via the dvd unit can you find out !!

Mate you could always supply your own DVD player, or just ask for the model number of the DVD they are providing and find out that way

interested also mate! For the heater vents what would you need to do to them? like blocking them up as you wouldnt want hot air blowing on screen?

Also Anyone got ideas as to where the contols could go?

Sorry mate just looked at the pic and seems the screen is above the contols so would not need moving! Nice.

Also would probably want a liliput 7" touch screen in it so would probly mod it easily.

ALso one more thing. On the original consol at the back doesnt it attach with clips etc? How will you make these out of filberglass? How will it fix? Thanks

I would think so...

OR what i would do if i wanted to keep my sound quality and music quality good. IS keep my headunit and put the DVD player in the glove box.....

sorry to barge in, but on the ICE side of things, the easiest would be to buy a DVD reciever Head unit (like a pioneer DVH-500mp) as its basically the usual HU but with a video output (as well as your audio RCAs etc) for monitors/screens etc

However the pioneer is 500 odd quid

Or like suggested by sidesport, get an external dvd player and wire it up to the screen and aux input on your HU. Although if you can get an add-on one for your HU like a pioneer/alpine dvd changer, then obviously you can control it from your HU etc

as for the stand alone DIN slot dvd player, majority of them dont have a pre-amp of any sorts, so you cant control the volume of the sound output - so you would need an external preamp with volume control/eq etc to be able to control the volume etc

I agree if people have spent £200-300 on a headunit...KEEP IT in the same place...

But i was doing some calculations and i think i can do -

Custom Centre Console with screen recess
7" Screen
And a DVD player for the glove box

FOR AROUND £220

Do you think this is a good price?

pretty cheap that mate

just dont let the low price ruin the quality though mate

also post up details of the gear your thinking about shipping with the console, as it will help people to interface it with their current ICE gear etc

Ok let me re write what i ment.

In stead of selling top class products at mega high prices as we will be the only place to get these from and selling not that many. I would rather make less profit on each TOP CLASS console and sell more.
