i know the XE is around 15.1 dont know what the LET is

this was achived on the hottest day of the year, with tyres with no tread at all and a fully loaded car,

would have been well into 14's otherwise

temperature doesnt effect xe's as much as lets tho, i dont think. Getting a standard corsa, ie. corsa off the production line, no mods, with just 20XE, F20 and suspension into the 14's would be tricky. Just my opinion, but a valid one i feel.

Traction makes little or NO difference to your terminal time. Its a great indicator of power to weight. Lucky B has a better 1/4 time, but a worse terminal speed. On the road which do you think would win a blat down the motorway?

If I was building a 1/4 mile missle, it would be a stripped car, Plated diff, and a very revvy engine on TB's. But for a road car I'll stick with my tuned LET!

It's pointless trying to get the message across Tim, you've entered a world of arrogance, fiction and guesswork. I do commend you on your efforts.

rather than the funny comments, explain! is it cos getting the traction sooner chucks out better terminals, but pure brute force pulls through for the quick times at the line or summit? Joff, i dont like doctors, hows about,no?

Funny comments - more like delusions of grandeur

Tim is the only one making sense here

terminal speed is indication on power to weight! and how will behave on road

down a mile road the xe will have the 1st 1/4 then be 50+ metres behind at the end

ok so a car with a terminal speed of 100mph but a time of 15s tells me the driver sucks ass but the car is still quick. both are important you can't just say one is more important than the other

There is a skill to getting a good lift off, it's just knowing when to listen to people who have the experience, and willing to help, as opposed to people trying to help and then discarding their opinion as 'shit'. I feel Tim made a good point, and tried on various attempts to get a reply to it, which was worthy of a read.

it's all about the traction.
think about that isaac hunt nova. 2.0 8v, turbo, blah de blah, big slicks on the front and it runs 12's iirc.
a corsa turbo with 40profiles at 32 psi just aint gona grip till third gear is it?

i've never personally done a quarter, so just talking from observations at the mo.
hope to get fully involved at the pod this coming season.

{edit} just checked and it runs low 11's
