i fucking detest people that would do this, so wouldnt consider doing it unless i had suffered and injury.

It was such a pathetic crash... i think i must have been staitionary and his tightning of the turn towards the right that made the contact as all my damage indicates pulling out, not bashing in

I hate that, when its obvious the other person has made no effort to avoid crashing.

but am fed up with trying to live by the rules and still getting fcuked upon. So take the attitude that if u can't beat em, join em.

at least ask for some compensation due to the inconvience caused

I posted in response to 3CM saying that he should have given way to the right in his alternative position, not talking about the actual crash.

indeed, there's the "rules and laws" of driving but everyone should use common sense too.

some people try for an accident if they see people doing wrong

Shite that Adam...happens all ther time though..Least he's accepted blame and should get sorted...Pity about the £400 excess but you'll get it back (sometime)..

I hate old ppl on roundabouts because they are not sure which lane to use so they just stay in the left and go right round the thing.......

spoke to his ins comp..... he hasnt admitted fault, his story is also wrong......

he has made some crap up about entrance/exits etc..... got me all confused now too i'd have to ring back and ask them again...

They admitted my story sounded more plausable and looked better in my fav as i have my psgr as witness (counts in scottish law or something)

I emailed him, basically telling him his story was wrong, and told him mine via those ace pics I also included proper road maps for him. I think he forgot that there was a road on the left (1st exit)

His ins company were going to get back in touch with him to find out what the craic is

I hope you get this sorted out and from what i have read you shouldn't have trouble and get your 400 notes back asap.

I drive to work on the ring road around bristol everyday and probably cross about 4-5 roundabouts similar to these. A fair few times i have had to brake hard for a woman or some bloke in his Merc/BMW who have decided to carry on round to the right. Totally unaware of me indicating to go straight on.

I start back at work tomorrow and i think i will try to more often take the left hand lane. Although i am not in the wrong by law i think its better to try and avoid these situations. But saying that i will probably just fly across them all tomorrow in the right hand lane

Same thing happened to me Adam.

I was on St James roundabout on the inside lane take the third exit, there was a car in the outside lane also indicating to take same exit. But they were infact taking the NEXT exit, and ran into the side of me as i took the exit.

Her car bounced off mine and she drove off, leaving me with a flat tyre blocking one lane of the roundabout.

She eventually came back saying "she was unfamiliar with the roads" and she had indicated too early and was going for the next exit.

Her story later changed to that she wasnt indicating and i had ran into her.

No witnesses so luckily the insurance companies believed my version of events.

Lucky you have a wtiness, not only to give a 3rd account of events, but to aslo back you up in hearing that the driver ran into you admitting fault.

Make sure you quote him saying that, classic admission of fault.

Make sure its not the diagram I modified, this would make his road position correct.

Yeah already been noted, and its a give way not a stop so he's within his rights to enter the roundabout in front of traffic if their progress will not be hampered.
