Looks sweet! Cant beat a 2 door Scoob! Has it got a DCCD in that or was it the version 5's or later that had it? Either way, Prodrive decided to take it out of mine when they tweaked it!

yup...
P1 is just the V5 with afew changes... pity about the DCCD
It has that, the really short gearing, bigger turbo, adjustable diffs, suspension.
1 thing surprised me about it..... There is SO much room inside!!!

Lucky sod! I wanted a 5 type R but at the time couldnt get insured for under £4,000, thats why I went for the P1 cos it was UK
Yeah, my gearing is the same as yours with a different fifth gear. Awesome innit?! Especially with the 8,000 rpm limiter!
What turbo is on it? Version 5's came with the IHI VF28 like the P1 didnt they?
Yeah, quite a practical car really! I love mine! Took it out last night, first time its been out for about 6 weeks and it was awesome!
What fuel are you using? Ive got a knocklink in mine and have found the best way to keep it quiet (ie/ 1 green led flashing at full power all the way to 140mph) is Optimax with 2ml of NF Octane booster per litre of fuel.
Thing is, Prodrive didnt even map the P1 to UK fuel....they just changed the knock sensor for a more sensitive one so it could advance or retard the ignition more effectively against det. I still think the map is too lean not to use octane booster!

Its a version 4 Type R isnt it? 1998 R plate?
The first impreza i looked at was a mica blue type R, gearing put me off in the end though. Do long journeys in the impreza and didnt fancy 80mph at 5.5k revs
Would make superb track car though.

Ah yeah, whats the top end in that Adam? Mine is booked at 155mph (I think) but Ive seen 160 on the clock.
Mine cruises quite well with the longer 5th gear. 3500rpm at 70mph, which isnt too bad!
