Thats not even funny . Did you drive it like a granny to get that or something? Couldnt have been using many revs or anything, as surely it'd drink the petrol then .
Convering it into MPG, thats
£10= 1000p / 83.9 = 11.9 Litres / 4.5 (litres per gallon) = 2.6 Gallons of fuel used
135Miles / 2.6 Gallons = 52 MPG.
Sorry, but im finding that hard to believe. Some of the new CDTi corsas would struggle to get a figure near that.
i agree, i find it very hard to belive too!
he did 70 from oldham to hartlepool last nite, not puttin foot down at all
its do able

now before i did this i was getting what i was thinking a really impressive number of miles to £10, so went out last night filled the tank up and worked out how many mile she gets now without the leak
So heres mine:-
Car - Corsa
Engine - 2lt 16v on Carbs 186bhp
Number of Miles to £10 = 135 (EDITED Fuel Price 83.9p)
Really impressed with it

Lucky man, wish I could say the same.
My current daily driver is a three litre Merc and I just managed to squeeze 212 miles out of £55.27 worth of Optimax.
I seem to spend more time standing next to it at a petrol pump than sat in the driver's seat
Think I better become a Shell share holder.

10 squid (at 89.9p ltr) gets me about 100miles in a 1.2 16v bucket - isnt too bad, thats with me being a bit gentle with the car. If i rag it, then that easily goes down to 80miles, maybe less

Well if youve got 52mpg id say its underfuelling, that doesnt sound right at all. or youve done your sums wrong..

Its the whole 20+ year old designed engine, with Carbs of all things, getting a higher MPG than a 1.3 diesel design thats about 2 years old, and was made primarily for fuel efficiency .

Anywhere between 50 - 100 depending on my mood.
Same in my Cavalier (C25XE 2.5 V6).
Mind you mine is an auto so you'll probably get better fuel consumption than me because your V6 is a manual.
