I was merely intrigued by the statement that Sapphire Cosworth Sierras are ugly.
I think they're fairly neutral looking and quite pleasant.
They are also very practical and immensely safer than a two door Cosworth in a side impact.
That's another matter though. More to the point, I am wondering what his benchmark for automotive beauty is if he finds such an inoffensive looking car so intolerable to look at.

yes it was i just meant the the Monte was also available in that colour.. IIRC it was the only Escort Cosworth to recieve that Colour
I was quite surprised to find out only a few months ago that the last of the run of Sapphs that came in a dark metalic red were actually painted a different colour to Majenta, it's very similar, but is a richer colour. It has a different name (can't remember it at the mo) and paint code, and I believe this is the colour the Monte was available in aswell.
That's got the old grey matter ticking, now i'm going mental trying to remember the name of the colour

I agree, i've always had Frauds or Vauxhalls.
Ford realy know how to make crap, just look at the current line up, but they can also make some real crackers too, the Sapph being one of them.
I only realy like RWD/4WD RS's and early cars (with the odd exception, i.e. 2.8 Capri and XR4i/X4) like the Anglia, MK I Cortina and MK I + II Escorts.
Would deffo have a Sapph Cossie if I could find one for fifty quid though
