track days are so much safer then roads, you just have to realise its a corsa and your no f1 driver, its easy to get into a muddle but also easy to have lots of fun and find the cars weak spots and handling capabilities.

Total vauxhall told me they would supply all timing gear etc if we was to use elvington, and they would feature the day

for a shoot-out day or just a corsa based day?

Each has it merits etc... but i can see a shoot out day causing the old throwing of dummies etc...

yes but this way we can proove it,

corsa only day or corsa vs day, both needs to be more then just a 1/4 mile!

corsa Vs day would be the best....

but how would you sort the players from the pretenders before hand?

Proven times on the 1/4?

you cant have a competative track session..... but maybe some small sprint track setups....

timed rather that wing to wing on the track

same as totb,
we have handling, 1/4 and top speed or 0-60!!

Then people put there names forward, obv need a range 1.4,1.6,2.0 etc,

then we have say 50 people and see what they want to enter for,

each car could run all 3 heats or just what one they will excel at

50 may be too many if all running for each event (who wouldnt have a bash at them all after all

50 if its a corsa only day,

or 25 from each!!

or we do a corsa day now to find the best 25 cars and then sort a vs day!!

i think we need to go against 106,306 as saxo is mainly 1600, and they would win that class unless andy h came along!!

2ltr anf turbo we would win i feel

upto 1400cc, upto 1600cc, upto 2000cc, 2000cc+, Turbo,

i feel with a tuned 1.4 corsa mantzel etc would be a good run for most 1400cc cars,

1600 - we need andy h
2000 - ak, lucky bs old car
turbo - timrud, me if mines done, etc
2000+ - beardy

indeed, my 1.6 just about beats vts's with exhaust and induction mods, they start wacking cams and remaps in there and i feel i would get bished on a track due to them handeling better.....

mi16 engines aint rare in pug 205's!

bhp is a better was of sorting it IMO, but i would need to be proven i.e supply a graph??
