Honda Revolutions are arseholes. They hate it if you should do anything that doesn't make the car quicker or if its not one of the performance models.

Shame they are so expensive, worth it though imo!

quite agree with them
But they take it to extremes. I couldn't afford a VTI at the time, so made do with an ESi, which wasn't good enough for them. They also disliked me because I dared to change the alloys

Its standard at the moment mate, but plans are :-
30mm Eibach springs
17" Rota Boosts in black with a polished lip (£40 off if you become a Honda-R member!)
AEM Cold air induction
Tannabe exhaust
4-2-1 manifold
Need a chip as well, really releases the power on these cars
Luckily i have a friend who is a civic god, and knows everything there is to know, also hopefully will get me cheap bits as well. He's got an EG VTi, with the same engine as ours but an earlier ECU.
Did get mine quite cheap actually, P reg, 74k, FSH £2.8k, and the guy left all his audio in, which was nice.
Yours looks mint mate, bet it cost a bit in black?

Whats so funny about an EK4 VTi? Look nice, nice interior, good quality, total reliability, amazing engine and go like hell mate. Much nicer than any corsa, and ive owned 2.

Awesome stuff
Any plans for it?
Don't you just love it when you blow away those cocky drivers who think its a little 1.4 When you get past 5.5k and hear the exhaust note change and it pulls even harder all the way to 8.3k. Oh how i love VTEC

Now Now, lets not turn this into a Vauxhall Vs Honda Bitching session!!
Al3X, I know what you mean bout booting it past people who don't know what your car is!! Thje EK4 isn't aswell known as the EP3 CTR, which are a lot more common imo.
As for people saying the VTEC sounds like bees stuck in a tin can, I like the sound of mine and certainly makes me laugh when I boot the VTEC and people can't help turning round thinking wtf is that!

XE is a very very strong engine you pratts!
I know a fella with a GTE 16v with 163,000miles on the clock, still going sweet as a nut, and he ran 14.9 at santa pod raceway a few weeks back...
all he has done is changed the oil regularly...
and there are A LOT of owners on migweb who have XE's with even more 1000's of miles on their clocks!!
LETs on the other hand seem to be the same as any other old turbo'd engine... hassle from poor modifications!!!

XE is good but theres a lot of storeys about them going wrong etc, there puker engines torquey pwerful. not debating but the VTEc is possibly one of the best engines produced consering power and reliabilty

for a 1.6 the B16a is very very strong!
Prefer it to the K20a or whatever is in the new CTR...
just dont agree with the un-founded comments about the XE being un-reliable... when all you hear is the stories of people who jammed one from a scrappy into thier corsa shell, thrashed it around on the same oil/pump/water pump etc. then wonder why it died!!
