i believe servers are linked so you can travel between each area without noticing any change, so you can fly from london to sydney on Qantas QF2 at 10:30PM every singly day, and British Airways BA310 would be behind all the way after leaving at 10:45PM. both stopping in Bangkok too and arriving on schedule in Sydney.

if you so wish then yes but its frowned upon in the FS community to make tomfoolery when online

yes, i have been moist over it on a few occasions. what i love most though is sticking on itunes and listening to some quality tracks whilst flying. amazin i suggest - Joan Armatrading - Love & Affection or 10CC - Im Mandy Fly Me (about flying and stuff, great solo too)
there are also a few addons that simulate the finer points of FS, with passengers generated, so you have to physically board and disembark them, and certain things pop up in flight to say its too hot/cold in the cabin etc etc.
Also some grreat files on avsim called annunciator panels, and it has all the captain/air stewards calls over loudspeaker like the safety message and video, and stuff like movies and meal times, and then things like " Cabin Crew, please prepare the Aircraft for landing please" or "ladies & gentlemen, we will be landing in approximately 15minutes, please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts blah blah"

On the few occasions I managed to leave the ground, Id switch over the windows media player mid flight, watch a DVD then swtch windows again when it came to looking for my runway, back to collisioons, are there renders in the sim for explosions and stuff? as I spose sim was designed to NOT be crashed
I might reinstall it and play terrorists for a bit

yeah most 3rd party models have crash effects, and stuff like sparks from wingtips and engines if you stack the landing. there is a great mod on avsim which replicates the glide of Space Shuttle Atlantis right down to the runway, and it has scenarios like water landing etc

the standard 744 panel doesnt have those sounds, but most aftermarket panels on avsim do

Nice add-on scenery & pics of Virtual Cockpit/Cabin & some weather effects its a shame the pics on this site are reduced to such a small size, they are soooo much better when they are full size 1280x1024
Later on im looking forward to my Jetstar A320 flight from Avalon to Sydney in tricky stormy weather that is expected later on in real life.
Dave
prestwick is not in glasgow spunkymonkey
yes you are right, i typed in Glasgow into airport search and it only came up with glasgow, i didnt realise that prestwick is a hike from glasgow.
