pedals are annoyingly close together, and their too small.

Try being a 15 mate!!

Impossible!

If it's anything like the Gti! I'm sized 12, but have size 13 work shoes and press 2 pedals at once in them. I have to use my Adidas tuscanys to drive my Gti as they're thin shoes.

thought it was the other way round!

well not round here it isn't...I hardly ever see a vts!

Yeh very much the other way round. You sure you've not been seeing quicksilvers?

*though a lot of VTrs I think might be a VTs?*

But generally Saxo's are as common as muck (as are vts's), where as Gti's are still rarely rare and so still have some class. This is reflected in their prices, Saxo VTS can be had for a couple of grand, Gti's are more £3000-£3500 for cheap ones.

I have got a minter of a Y plate 2001 for £3500......
I was looking at an R/S plate Gti for that £££££

That's what I said

You got a newer VTS for the same money as a older Gti. Gti's hold their value better as they don't have the Saxo Rep, have more class and are generally rarer.

I think you missed my whole point, but grats on the car they're good little cars - though going from a 2.0 16v to one? Need some basic tuning mods to make it to that standard (i.e. decat exhaust / ecosse filter)

Thats a myth, there is no specific age VTS/GTI that makes 10bhp more, it just so happens that many make more than 120bhp as standard. Theres been a million thread on this on SSC and PGAC. The chances are that your car might be around 130bhp, but its not just because its a particular age model
