i must be the only person who will NOT buy anything unless they have the money to do so, except uni (which is not debt) and a house (again, is not debt)
i would never buy a car, tv, pc etc on finance or with a loan. i have paid off my 1500 over draft and already saved 4k since leaving uni in june, and i still dont think that thats enough money! 10,15,20k in debt with nothing to show would scare the crap out of me

When I bought my Astra, I paid £4.5k up front, leaving me £2.5k to finance, I dont like debt, but it only becomes debt when you cannot manage it, otherwise its finance.
Never buy mods on finance, always paid up front,

debt isnt a problem, its the repayments that are a pain in the arse...
When i was a student we musnt have had the same lifetyle you do now as no-one i know has that much uni debt. Spend the money when you earn it dudes

bought a convertible bmw 328i... which i had to pay quite a bit to fix - cos whoever had it before me didn't look after it! then borrowed some more money to buy a bmw 3 series coupe. couldn't sell the convertible - no one was interested.
so basically im fucked for the next 7 years !
