To be honest most insurere will not insure someone that young on such a high risk car. Nismo got lucky and since building his NCB up he has maintained a good record with his insurance co right?

Was helping my mate look for one not long ago and went to see a couple. Best bet is to get one fresh off the boat as they will come from japan with a decent climate and no salt on the roads RX's rust real bad and if the shell is in a bad way your best of scrapping it according to the experts.

I love the way people who say things like this but never even carry out any research, to be honest they will cost you more to run than a 106 quicksilver for so many reasons.

What makes me laugh is they think they are going to get cheap insurance de to it being a "1.3" has no one heard of insurance groups or area codes?

No offence Cark but your going to strggle to run one comming from a Pug QuickSilver

Very very true mate

But then again if you have to leave the country for tax purposes I'm pretty sure that was the real reason Also wasnt it like 15K you spent on top on the Supra

Yes i'd only mention that when talking about taxing it. It's not of any real relevence that it may or may not be a 1.3

using that theory top spec motorbikes are cheap to insure as the cc of engine is tiny

get a rocket car, has no cc = no insurance

Modern Wankles are pretty reliable. I would assume they sorted out the problems they had when they first came out as they were first introduced in the 70's or something...

3rd gen's don't, as they have a lot of aluminium panels. Mines 14 years old and apart from a tiny bit of rust on the slam panel (where it was replaced) there isn't any rust on it. Its not been treated either.

With regards to insurance, I was paying £1300 TPFT on my first one when I was 19. When I sold it and bought one a few months later, it cost me £1400 TPFT to insure when I was 21. It now costs £1900 FC with all mods declared and with 1yr NCB.
