i dont know, i think its the egr, so im gonna try changing that tomorrow

if its not that, it could be the engine, it might be dead or dying

but, if i fix it, it'll go wrong again in a month or so, so i might split/sell it anyway

If it's that much of pain just split it and be done with it

Pity you can't get it running perfect as it is a sweet weekend/track car...

Drop in a let

it would be a perfect trackday/weekend car for someone who could afford to insure/tax/run/own 2 cars, but i use it every day, and it really isnt practical, especially not when its using a litre of oil, litre of water, and 40 litres of betrol in 110 miles

this may be the end i feel

shame rob neva mind, anyway if u move to somat practical like a golf its not all pipes an slippers i bet golf handles better than ur corsa with decent suspension on, and they are bullet proof too

my m8's 53 plate 1.9 tdi 100bhp golf is really impressive and handles so well

i think i'd probably get a corrado, ive always had a major soft spot for them, they just look so good IMO

and it'd be a 2 litre 16v for a while, then maybe a 20VT in the future

haha, rob rob rob, you quitter. if you split it youll have lots of bits left over people saying they want them and not collecting etc.... fix it. however if you do split i best have first dibs on stuff lol! it will need a bit of pipe put into the heater as discussed. that will solve that problem. is it still using ater and oil? its not smoking? no mayo?

doesnt sound like an EGR fault to me

cracked head? head gasket? any mixing of water and oil? any blue or white smoke from the exhaust? had a compression test? its gotta be going somewhere!

or maybe an oil, water and petrol leak

the exhaust appears to kick out steam when its cold, or white smoke

not had any blue smoke, not done a compression test

but.... when i stop, steam comes from the scuttle panel, and i think i do have an oil leak, rocker cover gasket i think
